Armenian gymnasts shine on first day of finals in Doha

With one medal of each colour, Armenian gymnasts gained the most success at the 2015 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Doha (QAT) on Thursday. Overall, ten nations shared the medals in the events on the first day of finals.

Trampoline legend Jeff T. Hennessy passed away

Jeff T. Hennessy (USA), former chairman of the International Trampoline Federation's (FIT) Technical Committee and the United States' most successful Trampoline and Double Mini-trampoline coach, passed away on March 24, 2015, at the age of 85.

About the FIG: The International Gymnastics Federation is the governing body for gymnastics worldwide. It is the oldest established international sports federation and has participated in the Olympic Games since their revival in 1896. The FIG governs seven disciplines: Gymnastics for All, Men's Artistic, Women's Artistic, Rhythmic, Trampoline, Aerobic and Acrobatic. It counts 142 national member federations and boasts a 27-person staff at its international seat in Lausanne, Switzerland, host city of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
