2015 World Gymnaestrada Helsinki: 10 days to go!

The leotards are hung up, the tracksuits neatly folded and ready to be placed in suitcases. The 21,000 or so gymnasts who will fly to Helsinki (FIN) next week for the 15th World Gymnaestrada -- the biggest international event in Finnish history in terms of participation numbers -- are nearly ready to go.

About the FIG: The International Gymnastics Federation is the governing body for gymnastics worldwide. It is the oldest established international sports federation and has participated in the Olympic Games since their revival in 1896. The FIG governs seven disciplines: Gymnastics for All, Men's Artistic, Women's Artistic, Rhythmic, Trampoline, Aerobic and Acrobatic.
